Since i'm replacing my rear glass i want something different, but i have a question... the stock 944 spoiler is the little black one that goes around the back of the rear window glass, but i want one with a wing... is it a bolt on to the 944 or what? (i know technically this is a 924 board... but it's going on one )
thanks. _________________ People who think they know everything really annoy those of us who do. |

That's a 968 wing, they were also put on 944 S2's. Those would be tough to find, and they're a lot more difficult to fit from what I've heard. It can be done, Porchev who has the yellow V8 924 here on the boards made his own that was inspired by the 968 wing, it was a lot of time and work he said. The 968 hatch glass is the same as the 924's, I hear there are some small changes but I can't tell you what they are for sure. I do know that mounting a later spoiler(944) onto a 924 sometimes requires drilling as the holes don't line up or something. _________________ Mike

biggest change is the price!! i know a guy here that bought a 968 hatch for $NZ5500 just so he could get the spoiler. i priced a 944 hatch at $NZ500 + tax.
the 968 bridge spoiler also cam on the last year of production 951's _________________ '86 944 |

Yes, that is the late 944 and 968 wing. 944 Racing used to make one, although their web page seems to have been down for years now for business expansion.
Here's the cached page if you want to contact Jeff Hinkle and see if he has any left, or is still selling them..
http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:Ymt0qur2lBsJ:www.944racing.com/+hinkle+944+racing&hl=en
The ones he offers are a custom bolt on for the 924/944 hatch, although they look identical to the late 944/968 wing. _________________ '81 931 in various states of assembly |

I never get tired of hearing that. Nine Two Four, Nine Too Fah, Toofah. | lol, omg, etc. everything is a freaking abbreviation these days!!
I have to shamefully admit that when I first got into this whole "toofah" thing it took me a while to get what you all meant when you said "924 NA". For the longest time I thought it stood for North American (version) figuring that it was all our EPA restrictions that singled it out. Just for the record, I know it means Naturally Aspirated - and that is a worth while appreviation.
Come to think about it, toofah isn't even an abbreviation - its actually twice the key strokes!!!
