Is it possible to change out the main and rod bearings without pulling the engine? Just pull down the front crossmember, pull the oilpan and install the new bearings? I know new upper mains can be slipped in above crankshafts. Car runs fine, has great compression, NO smoke and a good camshaft but poor oil pressure at temp. Already running 15-50 synthetic. _________________ The Porsche is now my son's, my car is cooler, slower but cooler. |

Yes. You've got it - once the oil pan's off, they can all be replaced. _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

I think the mains would be kind of difficult. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na
