| I have a 1979 924 and I wish to remove the heater box which is at the center of the dash board. I have alredy removed the whole air conditioning system. But if I remove the heater would it cause me problems? How should I do it? Im not planning to put it back on. I just whant to remove these because I dont even use the AC or the heater. NEED HELP. click "924 Technical Section" above then "12- Bodywork" and then "3 - Dashboard - removal and installation".
Took me less than two hours last Sunday including coffee breaks. _________________ 1979 924 (Gone to a better place)

It's easy enough to remove the heater core, but you're going to need to plug the heater coolant lines. If you want to reinstall it ever again, make a flange plate to block off the heater core flange. If not, cut off the lines in the engine bay, stuff a bolt in them and clamp it with a hose clamp. _________________ '81 931 in various states of assembly |
