I had to drop a friend to work this morning and it was a pretty damn spectacular morning so I took the 'roof out and had a bit of fun on the way home (God, I love boost ).

Anyways, she was having the vehicular equivalent of a "Good Hair Day" so I took a pic.

Here she is as of 7:00am this (Wednesday) morning:

Ah, my wheels My second greatest love love after boost

Yes, they are Porsche (as far as I know). Generally referred to as "Cookie Cutters" but I don't know who actually made them or the correct model number, etc...

The back wheels are dished, which gives the rear end a nice, full stance, I think.

They really suit the car, IMHO.

Believe me, she's had her share of hiccups! Nothing major, though... yet.

a 931 in that condition is pretty hard to find here. All the 931s I've seen where either nonrunning or running but in junkcar condition. I've seen one nice white 931 with 928 wheels driving but it wasn't for sale.

Apparently it's called "Meteor Metallic", paint code Y5Y5.

BTW, although my paint code appears to be correct for European cars i.e. Y5Y5, according to the codes Lizard posted in the above linked thread, the North American paint code seems to be LY7Z..?

I'm kicking around either spending the dough on new rims and a NICE paint job or getting a used 2006 Miata GT.By the time I pay it off and the warranty expires i'll put at turbo on it and have a RELIABLE 250 horse,2400 lb. street car. We'll see.

So yeah I may sell it or part it out, whichever is worth more at the time.Man I think about all of the new parts i've put on the car, like EVERYTHING.It is I think the most rebuilt 931 in western Canada.Mechanically it's 99.9% perfect. The guys at Wiessach and MCL Porsche we're pretty happy with what i've done to it.And it's never let me down so I guess that says something.

Although.......We've had an awsome fall and the other day I was driving home from school and the freeway was clear, the air was crisp and, well,I had one of those driving orgasms. You know when it just feels sooooo right to drive with boost.God I love my 931.
When I got home I popped the hood and the charge tube after the i/c was COLD.That was after 35 mins of driving in 9 deg C ambient. Gotta get my temp gauge back in.

Khal you gotta come here man.

Oh and for a machining project at school the instructor is letting me build a stainless exhaust manifold.Or I may just use the time and build the fixtures and jigs necessary to mass produce them instead.Hmmm...

Yeah, they're surprisingly good little things. Amazing what adding a huffer to a car can do!

Strangely, I've never actually driven an NA! I've never even sat in one!

The only other toofahs I've been in are Kenodog's and Crunchie 57's (and my best mate's old man's car... years ago). All Turbos.

What, I'm not allowed to drive my car anymore?!!! Man, that sucks

No, I didn't mean that! Just no more envy-inducing posts!

Just kidding. Hell, the turbo is what makes a proper sportcar out of the 924. (But I like the cleaner lines of the N/A car. )

(Moved this post over to the original thread where it belongs.)
