The subject interview with the designer of the 924 is very ineresting. Turns out that even though the 924 was his first design produced, he wasn't happy that he wasn't able to complete his planned modifications. Also included is a picture of a prototype with a very different rearend. I tend to like the prototype style but it doesn't have the "Porsche" slope.

Is this the car, looks a bit strange. But everyone is used to the production one I guess. _________________ Chris |

Same car. Actually both cars are the same, just shot from a different angle.

Yeah, photos taken at the same time.
I read that article too, rather interesting... looking at the rear photo, I almost wonder if he was trying to get sort of a Kamm tail built into the rear (think Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe)? _________________ Vaughan Scott

Since he wasn't designing it for the EA425 project, I believe the higher/larger rearend was to accomodate the engine.

My wife likes the fun runs and tours also. Actually she prefers the 931 over the 928 even though the 928 is a better long distance driver. BTW her name is also Sharon.
