Pet shows a part number 843 819 021 for the 79 MY then goes to part number 321 819 021 for the 80 and 81 MY's. Can't find that it matches any other Porsche but the 914 and 928 don't list the motors separately.

Vaughan, let me know if you're desperate to get it in before winter or something. I might be able to help you out with a used one that works very well. _________________ '80 924 n/a SOLD |

Oh, I'm not desperate, mine does work, and I have a winter car besides (2000 Chrysler minivan with working heat, all the luxuries including heated seats!). I'm just wishfully thinking of an upgrade tho a fresh hot motor that blows a little stronger; the current one feels about as strong as the dog panting on my leg! Plenty of heat, just not much air movement... _________________ Vaughan Scott

If you can determine the size and airflow needed, this might be the place to look - http://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?UID=2005101613001385&item=16-1256&catname=electric
They have quite an assortment of motors, fans, DC, AC, clockwise rotation, CCW rotation, dual rotation, base mount, face mount, dual shaft, etc. _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

I got a new heat exchanger flange n 2 of those plastic circle things to seal
my heat exchanger when I get it in. Those parts where dealer items they came in last friday after a seven day waite.
Ive been thinking how about I cut offthe top of my dash
where the ducts are then laminate a piece of plastic as in frp board its used in kitchins and bathrooms in commercial construction its available in colors
shoot then I could have ducts close to the side and more out of the middle anyhow.. using a the right adhesive you could maybe get it tight to shape
the edge on the front so it was invisable. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

R2D2 can provide a reasonable amount of defrost air if you seal up all the leaks including the defroster tube in the top of the dash. _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"
