My clutch is gone and I'm wondering if I have to go to Porsche which looks like a 2 week wait.

I think the server at PP is messing with you Neil. Link worked for me. Try again.

Centerforce clutch kit is $590+ and that is the main aftermarket unit AFAIK

I bumped into Mike Yager today (Owns Tweeks). I kidded him about his appearances on Dream Car Garage.

Anything you guys would like me to ask him if he's still around tomorrow?

I think I'm going with Tweeks/ Mid America Motor Works {same company apparently}

An after market clutch kit for $199.99US with a $50 core charge.
I'll get the details {what comes with it} on Tuesday when I set up an order.

Yeah ask him if they are thinking of putting in a track at his facility in Effingham? And if so, when might that be come a reality?

We heard it from one of the locals that Mike was trying to get permission to do just that.

Neil that price is for an A/C compressor clutch, not for the Clutch Kit you are looking for. The Sachs kit for $300 is the one you want if you are going with OEM non-upgrade version.

You have to be shi*ing me! There's a 4 week back order then a 10 day shipping estimate on the Sachs kit! That's the only reason I went the other way! This is NOT good!

I'll search the web on Tuesday for a more available clutch.

Thanks for the heads up Mark.

I asked one of his staff yesterday about the tracks, and he is still working on them. They have been delayed since they must build a new distribution center first.

The only clutch I can use from them is the only one that is back ordered for a month.

Can you ask if they have a loaner car I can use in the mean time?

Thanks Paul, I expect to hear good news from you on this matter.

Neil
