Nice one, Applebit. A good counterpoint.

I especially liked this bit:

"Nevertheless, Sen. Mary Landrieu, who seems to think she's cute when she's mad, even threatened on national television to punch out the president -- a felony, by the way, even as a threat."

Good grief. Consider the source-

http://www.splcenter.org/intel/intelreport/article.jsp?pid=123

How about God bless editorials? Some extremist rants and calls names and that's a "good viewpoint"? I'm sure you could find an editorial advocating the nutritional benefits of eating glass if you try hard enough.

I'm done...

This message is meant to be informational, not funny, and not insulting...

I believe that you will find that "Kafer" is a demeaning/insulting term used to refer to black or colored people. I have heard/seen it used by South African white people (I am not sure of the exact origin) of the sort similar to white KKK people from the US South (Rednecks) who would refer to black or colored people as "Niggers".

Actually Gohim your thinking of kafir. And yes I am aware that it is a derogatory term meaning black person in South Africa. In Moone924's profile he lists owning a 1965 Kafer undergoing bodywork and as i've never heard of this kind of car I Googled it and it seems to lead to Volkswagon beetle clubs, thus the inquiry. Is it some kind of special Beetle ?

I didn't know how the the demeaning version was spelled.

As far as the VW version goes, I suspect that this would be a vehicle similar to the vehicle marketed in North America as "The Thing" otherwise know as the "Type 181", which had it's roots as the World War II German Army "kuberwagen" (probably spelled wrong) built by VW.

"kafer" translates from German to English as "more kafer" or simply "kafer" (by google language tools). Apparently, it's trying to say there is no "kafer" in German.
"Käfer" and "kaefer" both translate as "beetle".

Someone just popping in on this thread might wonder if the 924 is a type of doghouse.
