|
|
Hey, well i've finished with one of the projects that i've had for the car and i was just wanting to let you guys see how it came out putting a Zex Nitrous Kit (75hp shot) into my 924s. i bought the kit from 9xauto.com and everything has worked out great, and i HIGHLY recommend adding such a kit if your engine is in good conition. i've documented most every step and even have a video to go along, but no web hosting for it. anyone know of a free video hosting site? well i bet some of you are thinking "WAY COOL" and others "NOT SO MUCH," but either way since the car doesnt respond to anything you do to it besides a turbo, nos seemed an easy and cost efficient way to do things. i hope you guys enjoy and feel free to ask lots of questions!

NOS is great when done right, and can be very reliable and fun, HOWEVER that being said IMHO you should NEVER run a dry setup, you should always do a wet install,
but it is a VERY expensive setup to run dry or wet, and you will find that you will always be filling the bottle, and it will always be empty when you want to use it the most. _________________ 3 928s, |

Looks good, will watch the video soon....
P.S you can use star or spring washers to hold nuts in place or if you want added reasurance then use nylock nuts. But you have to throw the nylocks away if you have to take them off. Soldering won't hold up.

Could you tell us how much it cost you in total to install the NOS?
How much does it cost to fill the bottle?
How long does the bottle last? |

I think it's a great idea and congratulations for being one of the few people to actually do something like this (rather than just talk about it!).
In fact, you might want to add the info to the 924.org update:

I'm all for upgrades/additions that work! So what are your impressions??

i know what NOS is and how it works...and i've been thinking for a while now to double that start injectors function...i was thinking to add a NOS flow trough that injector...but there is only one recharge station in my country and its 600 Km away. But hell yea i'd like +75 HP...with the existing 125 that would be 200 right away...plus the exhaust that could get to 220. Only thing what i'm worried about is that it will melt the godamn engine. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

you really need to start worrying when you add over 100 shot to a small displacement engine, and for a large displacement a 150 shot, BUT as I said before WET ONLY, never a dry install _________________ 3 928s, |

Interesting, why only a wet shot and not a dry shot? _________________ [This Space For Rent] |

the problem with a dry shot is that it doesnt richen the fuel mix so you tend to run lean and then run into possibilities of detonation, and melt down. _________________ 3 928s, |

On the Zex dry kits, they have a NMU that increases the amount of fuel. Although I don't know if that would work on the 931. _________________ [This Space For Rent] |

most of the dry kits dont have a fuel increasing meathod and are more risky, and from the look of this kit, it doesnt look like he has the fuel increase on it. _________________ 3 928s, |
