I got some in the mail today and went to put them in tonight. easy enough job i thought. the old ones were well beyond gone, they were toast... but is there a knack to doing this? I cant get the last one in (top right one) and i think i've done something. the whole assembly feels loose like something down the other end has popped out... am i right?

if you are speaking of the ball cup on the rear of the torque tube, then the easiest way to get it back on is believe it or not a REALLY big hose clamp, it needs to be iirc 5" to go around and catch, then just tighten down, but make sure that you use some lithium grease on the ball and cup, and make sure it is in the right position when you start to clamp.
good luck with it as those ball cups are a PITA without that trick _________________ 3 928s, |
