Hi everyone. I'm new to the board.

I was wondering if any of you are running water-cooled turbos or hybrid turbos of any kind.

Ninemeister (formerly 930 Motorsport and based in the UK) used to offer 3 specifications of turbo for the 931 and also offered water-cooled bearing housings as used on the 951 but no longer do them as far as I know. Are there any other places that offer modified turbos?

No point in looking for companies who sells them. Reason? They ask way too much for these. Option? Is to do it yourself and have it rebuilt.
Watercooled center section is NOT a necessity, in a well-maintained vehicle it will last very well. But if you want it, get a toasted 951 or Audi MC engine's turbo center section, the're watercooled. You will have a probem with 931 stock oil line mounting probably.
Hybrid? Yes, definitely. You should go for K27 (from BMW 745, 3.5L turbo engine or 964 unit) or K28, like I did (check this thread: http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=15526&highlight= ).
When going hybrid, you'll need to purchase BOV or bypass valve.
And our fellow boardmember Racing used a K26/27 hybrid on his 931 (sold by now though).
