Not one of its better days..
This is my car how it sits as of monday..
You can see in this pic at least 6 of the valves are bent, its hard to tell on some, but they are supposed to be "sealed" and you can see daylight around cylinder 1 and 2's valves..

Bummer...
You can pick up raceware headstuds (Pelican parts sells them among others). I think they're around $180 for the set.
The stock headgasket should be find unless you start hitting 1+ bar boosts (even then it depends). That is, as long as everything is in good tune.
PS- get that green coolant out of there!

JHey flosho yer work bench looks like mine does most of the time.
Suppose once I bump my cp by a point and a 1/4 plus use the late style pistins Ill have a so high cp Ill have to look into the receware studs. As
cp will be around 9 & a half to one. thats not bad for an early na with pnp
& reground cam plus header an a full flow catback 44 exhaust. cam gear
webber single throat tb an msd 6a hopefully with deeves rings an a lightenend flywheel.
Good luck flosho. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

Flosho, I have a head that has a small grove where the head gasket blew, but all of the valves are good. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo |
