I had my parts from an 87 924S put on the car this week: Complete rear torsion assembly, brakes, front steering knuckles, spindles, brakes, phone dials and new tires all around.

The alignement is clearly off and the guy who installed the parts said that he doesn't do alignments, so he gave me some advice after getting them close enough to drive for when I took it to a shop. He told me that my tie rods are good, struts are good, tie rod ends and ball joints are all good too so make sure they don't try to pull that "this needs replaces, these are worn out and possibly bent" on me.

I take it to a local chain and have them put it up after they check to see if they have the numbers for it. I stop back a half hour later and it's park outside already, hmm that was quick ? They said the wheel bearings and tie rods are bad. They showed me the slight shake in the wheels with the front end up. I was reading that a hand at 1 o'clock and 7 shakes to show a wheel bearing, and 3 and 9 for tie rods. It shows more of a 1 and 7.

So if my tie rods are really just fine(same ones that have been on there) do I not have the wheel bearings aligned or tightened correcty, I repacked them myself. The procedure to repack them seemed sorta vague, and I hadn't done wheel bearings before. Can anyone help with a good procedure. Thanks.

The bearings weren't quite tight enough I found last night, I tightened them down all the way and backed them off an eighth of a turn instead of a quarter and there's no slight wobble...And my tie rods are perfectly fine hah, I managed to toe the front wheels out a little more, they were waaaay in so it drives a bit better. But the camber still seems a little over my head, I'll just take it in on monday.

Would a very negative camber make the car seem to have more body roll? That's the one thing I've noticed, though the car isn't completely aligned yet, it seems like there's more body roll in turns.
