Can anyone tell me why Fuchs sell for so much ? I mean they're not really rare or anything so is it because of the weight or strength or ???
I am looking at getting a new set of rims for my car and for the cost of a set of Fuchs I can get a brand new set of something else. So are they worth the money ?

I think most people associate those wheels with Porsche more than any others, so if the seller think this, there is an implied premium. Any market can have that.

Just a thought.

They are forged rather than cast which is why they're lighter but I can't see why that would increase the price. 924s look sooo good with Fuchs wheels.

a used set off of E-bay unless your just the type of guy that

Certain Fuchs are worth more than others. The really desirable ones, aside from impossible to find 911 R Fuchs are the 930 Fuchs, the 16x7 and 16x8's. The 16x6 front narrow body Fuchs aren't that hard to find, or that expensive. When you consider a forged premium wheel starts at around $400 a wheel, it's a relative bargain.

5x130mm is a unique bolt pattern, so you can't really find cheaper forged wheels like you can in 4x100 or 4x4.5... Used narrow body Fuchs are a relative bargain compared to some of the offerings by HRE and Fikse.

I was looking at a set of Boxter S classic II rims. The multi spoke ones in 7 & 8 inch widths. They come up on ebay for around $300 each. With a really nice set of 7 & 8 inch Fuchs selling for $7-800 these are much newer and probably better wheels I would guess for only $100 more per wheel.I think 17 in. classic II's would look great on our cars, different than the same old Fuchs anyways.

With all due respect to the women members, you have to be careful not to make it look like an old girl in a short skirt.

He wants $1,400 US for them and then you'll have to ship them from the UK. That's going to be about $450 per wheel and then you might have to pay $200-$500 in customs.

Not those ones Neil but that style,if you notice the shipping rules he won't ship outside the UK.OEMSTYLESFORLESS on ebay sells that style but in a forged knockoff for 1K USD per set.
If I pay the $2500 to have my bodywork and new paint done I think that throwing my grungy set of trashcans back on is gonna look pretty lame.

Those sport classic wheels are very nice to look at, but they're heavier and much easier to damage than the Fuchs. I'd keep a set of those for the street, but not for the track.

Good taste though!

I have a set of 14" Fuchs (came with car) which will be just fine for snow tires. However, I have the 931 (ATS?) wheels in 15x6 and they just don't do it for me. What is the best fitment and max widths for 15" and 16" Fuchs F&R?

Pat

Flat dish 6 and 7 in. I took the clearcoat off and they look like chrome.
