Hello,

I am trying to put together an evening gathering of board members in Edmonton sometime between June 27 and July 7. It will likely involve meeting for a coffee (somewhere with a nice parking lot so we can admire the cars) and then going for a cruise.

One of the members from BC, Kenodog, will be in the area between June 27 and July 7, so the exact date will be hammered down a little later on when his plans are a little more firm. I'll make all planning updates to this link, and gather interest through this link.

Members who have expressed interest so far include:

Slam & Gracie
Codyboy
Kenodog (+girlfirend)
Chrenan (+wife)

Doodle, another Edmonton member who hasn't posted in a while has a nice 924, so hopefully him and his wife will attend as well.

If there is anyone else from Alberta reading who isn't a member, hurry up and register, it's free, and post on this thread so you can get involved. All Porsches are welcome, but my guess is we'll have a high percentage of "real" porsches with front mounted water cooled engines...

Chrenan - we're in as long as the date falls before July 1. Actually, the 27th of June would be best for us. We leave for Puerto Vallarta on the 2nd and I've got a gig on the 1st. Looking forward to both - brother used to work in PV, so he and his pals can show us around.

Based on my calender, my preference would also be for the 27th, but it's more work related, so I'm not as lucky as you...

Codyboy - I'm 37, going on 18. Gracie's younger by about a decade (c'mon now, no lady will tell you her real age ;^) ).

OK folks,

How's about a meet-up on Monday the 27th?

We could get together at the Tim Hortons at 75th and Gateway Boulevard (aka Calgary Trail North) in Edmonton. It has a very large and empty parking lot as there is a mini-mall there as well which closes after 6 pm. We could check out the cars, have a coffee, then head for a drive around Edmonton.

Slam, is there a time that is easy for you and Gracie to get here in the evening? I know you've got a bit of a drive to get into Edmonton.

Codyboy, how about you?

Kenodog probably won't be available until later in the week, but since this works for Slam, I can always hook-up with Kenodog separately later for a drive.

Okay, we'll shoot for the 27th. Gotta work out the logistics, but I think we'll be good for it. Are there any parts, books, tools I might have (in my limited collection) any of you might need?

Hey, thanks for the offer, but there is nothing I can think of. Anyone else need anything? I've got a few items lying around...

I'll keep checking this link for logistic info...

Guys, I can't make it after all. I'm so ill it's all I can do to sit here and typ[e this. We did eight bands over three days in the cold and rain, plus my band played Sat night and by the time I got home I was done in. Spent all day yesterday in bed hallucinating.

Thius is a major drag because I haven't been able to rub shoulders with other P-car owners for a long time. My apologies to all of you, and I hope maybe next time things'll be different.
