Ooohh Simon,
Amazing that your car makes 205bhp!! If i recall, thts the limit for our class in the speed championship..
I shall be contacting the MSA to have your car impounded and it's engine stripped, just to be sure of course
So where are you racing next?? |

OK Kajob, you have peaked my interest very much. Would you be so kind as to answer a few questions for me? Please!
1) What is that blower from?
2) What size is it?
3) How much is it overdriven to acheive your 13lbs of boost?
4) What is the tensioner from?
5) How many ribbed belt are you using?
6) How is the actual throttle response with your throttle set before the blower? It looks by your data graphs that boost is nearly intantaneous to throttle position.
7) Did you do anything to the stock 931 ignition? Any pinging problems?
What are you using for fuel control?
9) Finally, what kind of injectors are those and what size are they?
Thanks, Todd _________________ '79 924NA. Rebuilt 9.5:1, MSDS header, Mega Squirt Injection, MJLJ-EDIS Ignition, 1.6L Whipple Charger and Intercooler, 10lbs Boost, 944 Trans, Custom HD Clutch.

click on "Profile" under kojab's post and then click the "Show all posts by kojab" link and check his previous posts. He's posted a lot of info on the conversion and especially on the conversion to EFI using a GM/Delco computer. _________________ 1979 924 (Gone to a better place)

OK Peter, sometimes I just need a gentle slap upside the head with a 2x4 in order to get it out of a particular orfice
After doing a search of kojab's post I have answered most of my own questions. It is a Toyota blower rated at 1.4Liters. Injectors are GM new style 36lb. I have seen them before but can't remember where. Fuel and spark are controled with a Delco ECM using his own design software tuning package. Very impressive!
The only question I still have is "What is the overdrive ratio on the blower?".
If anyone knows the size of the stock pulley on the blower I can probably figure it out from the pictures posted at his web page.

I'd suggest a google session looking for "toyota sc14 pulley size" will probably be revealing (the sc14 is the 6-cylinder supercharger that kojab's running. The sc12 is the smaller supercharger from the Mk1 MR2). _________________ 1979 924 (Gone to a better place)

Its oooh so legal. Its almost saint like its so legal.....erm...well yes honest guv.
The MSA will impound it if you pay your 150 quid fee, thats always assuming I havn't asked them to look at yours first!!
I'm at MIRA Next Sat for a sprint. Its a bit of an odd venue, no cameras etc all very hush hush in case we spot the next Merc etc on the handling circuit.
If you were coming up for a look I may be able to get you in as support crew (seriously they take no prisoners in keeping the public out). If you were going to we'd have to agree to meet outside the gates. I will have a spare pass as er indoors is staying at home again.
Anyway, if I dont see you there I'll wait till you bring that P2...Ooops , sorry P3 car out!!!
Cheers

You're using a 931 head in that engine, aren't you Simon? _________________ '81 931 in various states of assembly |

IMO JE pistons aren't worth all that 650$ (+shipping) of cash, because they use the same heron design like OEM ones. Plus -nick has gone a few sets of them in a mysterious ways..... _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp
