Wow, was anyone in the passenger seat?! How fast was the impact?
Glad everyone's alright, but it is sad to see another one go off to the breakers. _________________ Mike

well its unfortunate cause i was getting ready to move out of the country and give it as a gift to a friend of mine who has always loved it...unfortunately i have no time to strip it and put it in a new body.
The whole drivetrain is still fine it was really only the body that was hurt, but I'm afraid this car is looking like its on its way to the Porsche Heaven.
This was my first 924S, but theres no way in hell i'm not getting another one!
I'm not a religious person, but all i can do is thank God or some greater being that kept me safe today...and someone out of the passenger seat.
I was going about 65 and he pulled out of a sharp merging lane at about 45, so I would say that we hit pretty hard.
I'm looking at offers for dismantling yards in my area, but if for some reason I can't get what I'd like, does anyone want anything from it? I'd be much happier knowing that parts are going to fellow enthusiasts than into steel crunchers.
Thanks for the support guys,
Evan _________________ RIP: Alison 1987 924S |

I could use the engine for my 87 924S, since I still haven't gotten around to building the block that I have sitting here.
What would you want for it, or the whole car?
I am in SoCal, and could drive up to get the engine, or the car. |

and maybe include those engineers who worked on it some 25 years ago...
You can pretty clearly see that side bar on the 2nd picture. |

I could use the DME box, relay, speed and ref sensor. and engine wire harness to the sensors... nose panel and headlight covers.... I have a car that has been f-bombed by a shade tree mechanic, I'm not sure what all is bad yet...engine has recent rebuild...front crossmember is cracked _________________ Bob Dodd - 924turbo@cox.net
