Some idiot just shunted the front of my car

Damaged the badge panel, headlight cover and knocked the bumper out of alignment.

Is it worth attempting to remove the badge panel before painting? This would make it easier, as I'm probably going to attempt it myself in the back yard with cans as cash is low at the moment.

Advice appreciated

how bad is the damage to the badge pannel, also if you can use a proper spray gun the finish will be better..
