i started to get to my problem in another post, but thought i'd start a new one. so i went out and bought new spark plug wires, as im low on budget, i bought 15 feet of plain 7mm spark plug wire from napa...7 dollars total, not too bad. then took them back and cut matchign pieces from the new s/p/w. after arguing with my dad over the fact that you can just pop off the old boot and connector parts from the old wires..and winning back the 7 dollars i spent on the wire, i just popped them on. if you're doing your own wires make sure to use a pick or phillips head screw driver to kind of open the hole up a bit, exposing the wires, so the tip of the boot can fit in, otherwise you'll end up not getting a spark.
so thats where i am now, ive started the car and let it run, it runs a lot better, but still after it gets to operating temperature the car goes down to around 700rpm and then gets the half burnt fuel thing,,i e black smoke and the smell of unburnt fuel.
now smoothie has helped a lot in the working of the eis, the problem is i dont have a haynes(i ordered one..it has yet to come in)and cannot find the correct location of the eis. i took off a part that is ontop of the t/b that seems to be an idle control thing, as when you're moving and above idle the key pulls away from the connector. its a little grey piece that has two connector points. i tried adjusting the idle after pulling the two pieces off, and tried adjusting idle without. either that piece doesnt work..if it is the eis...or that piece isnt the eis. anyone have any pictures of the eis?
oh yeah, i kinda have to get this car moving a lot better for tomorrow, my camry blew a strut and i'd rather not drive it till it gets fixed.
thanks for the help
