I am still trying to chase down an elusive vacuum leak. I've retorqued the intake manifold, but I was not able to find the proper torque values anywhere in Haynes, Factory Service Manual, or the 924 tech specs documentation. Anyone know what they should be?

Since retorque-ing by feel didn't solve the problem, my next step is to replace the intake gasket, the throttle body gasket, and the cold start valve gasket. My dad suggested I get some special sealant that is used for aluminum engine parts. Any suggestions in that regard?

Personally I don't use any gaskets on the intake side (TB, manif. to head, etc), only good black coloured, oil and temp resistant sealant. Holds much better and it's a lot easier to find I bet Porsche would have done sthe same if there would be such thing back in that time It's a matter of preferance but as things improve over time, so should our little monsters

Some gasket material and a small ball pein hammer is all you need...

It would take me about 3 minutes to make that gasket.

I made all mine except intake manifold with Corecto gasket material.
I would have done the intake also but I allready had the gasket.
I was told to put the intake gasket in dry.
$5.00 and I still have bunches more of material.
Thanks Paul
