i am curious to know if the 924 shifter is supposed to have a very unique feel to it?

i've driven many a manual transmission vehicles and they all pretty much felt the same - compared to my 924. I mean there is soooo much play in the shifter it ALWAYS feels like it is in neutral. I have all my gears, and it only took a little getting used to get "find" my gears and know how to shift. i'm so used to it I don't notice it. but my pal at corvettecollection.com drove it the other day and mentioned he had never driven a stick like that before.

any comments? is something going to drop from underneath my ride soon?

thanks in advance.

For sure! Same "problem" I've got (actually, it's pretty easy to fix, procedure is in the FAQ's).

Funny enough, this problem has afflicted just about every Porsche and BMW car I can think of. However I'm yet to see it on other makes...

If you have sideplay try this:

Smoothie's cartoon style walkthrough:

I did it on my 4 speed and it works great.
