Not bad, the price came back down some.. It was $189 at AllEuro when I was in need and I missed a chance to get it somewhere else at $144 ( http://www.autohausaz.com/catalog/lookup_parts.cfm?VehicleID=1263305&CFID=2746738&CFToken=94088097&partnum=91160810202 ), ...but now I see autohausaz is only listing the OEM pump, and at $228.

I got one from them and the total with express ship was less than $200. I can tell you the pump is excellent quality and very quiet. I can not hear it when the car is running. Which is some thing I could not say about the pump it replaced. I was impressed with it.

Also it is much cheaper than the OEM part!

I got mine at Zims

The old pump was on its way out. Buzzing like crazy and intermittant sound. Same thing my 1980 did just before cashing in.

This one is excellent. Quiet and noted to be higher presure.

Also bolted right up. No need to use any special fittings.

Just like Eturbo924 said: Just bolted righted in ,no problem.
Nice pump.
All little performance gains for me ( new coil, pump),
but still not the Gremlin.
Next step--newer control module from a parts car.
Taking it in to the muffler shop to see if its just a certain RPM rattle.(fat chance)
After that--the dreaded oil pan removal and rod and bearing check.

Mine is basically silent when the car is on... well dround out by all the other sounds. Not like the stock unit which you can hear all the time.

All my problems might be stemming from a bad gasket that connects the exhaust manifold to the straight pipe below the heat shield.
It looks to be separating and getting white (I’ve been looking for cracks).
The engine is extremely hot around this area now.
Maybe the lack of backpressure would account for my ping like symptoms under load that go away.
I wonder if the chatter I hear is the valve hitting from lack of backpressure.
It would be nice.
Maybe its header time.
