My fuel pumps wont run,have replaced relay and checked pumps and all are working fine but pumps will not activate,any ideas as to what else it could be,pumps run fine if relay bipassed.

If relay is in place and working, fuel pump shouldn't run unless engine is running. _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp

The fuel pump should run for a few seconds when you turn the key on.
I think it runs on some models while cranking the starter as well.
(this is from the starter circuit)
After that it will run only when the engine is running.
