|
|
I was driving to the paint shop to get my toofah painted when the passenger side wiper got stuck. the motor started making a noise like it was trying to unstick the wiper, and I switched them off, thinking I could just unstick it and they'd work. No such luck! Now, even though the wiper is no longer stuck, my wipers don't move at all. Any suggestions as to how to get them working? I have to go to work soon, and it's raining.

Same thing happened to me. I think you should check the arm, that connects the passenger side wiper to the motor. It easily gets disconnected on my 924.
I hope that helps

thanks, man. I'll get out and try that in a minute. I'd hate to drive to work in rain with no wipers!

alright, I went out and messed with the wipes, here's what's going on. When the motor goes to turn the wipers, it makes a low pitched whirring sound. If, while the motor's trying to go, I help the wipers, pushing them upward, they will go up, then back down. When it's time to go again, the motor gets stuck again. Could this be a fuse/relay deal, or is it a busted motor? _________________ 1977 Porsche 924 red and READY! |

dammit i was about to put her up for sale.
How hard is the motor to replace? Keep in mind that I'm only better than about 1 mechanic on here, and I know that you know who that is. Is it a bolt/unbolt affair or is there gayness involved?
