Just wondering the best way to know if the ol' clutch is going... i search the board and i know i have read some good stuff about it in the past - maybe i wasn’t thorough(sp?), but i couldn’t find it. I have tried the 5th gear test and it wants to die after pulling forward slightly when i let the clutch out when in idle. and i visually inspected it and it seems within normal parameters..
i only ask because when i rev it up it seems to 'let go' at about 5500rpm, just doesn’t feel like i am accelerating sufficiently... but the rpms are still going up. maybe i am just used to the motorcycle, but i do not think i am crazy.

According to the '82 owners manual, HP peaks and begins to fall just after 5500 rpm, so I'd assume that's what you're feeling (also assuming the power curve for a '79 looks about the same). _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

On Euro models, maximum hp is @5800rpm. _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp
