What is the maximum width of tire you can safely put on a 6jx14 stock rim? |

Do a search of the forums as this topic has been discussed many times.
I think 205 is the max & I certainly can't get any of the local tyre places to fit anything wider than that on mine, with some even saying that is too wide. I think others have run 215's though. _________________ TJ

Ive got a set of 6x15 spider webs with 215's on them. Have to run spacers to prevent any rubbing and the tyres balloon out a bit too much for my liking. Works fine tho. _________________ 1979 931 with a 350 chev
