I want to use 7 inch wide rims on the front of my 931.These rims have an offset of 65. Has anybody tried this setup?

these wouldnt happen to be 928 S2 rims would they?

I am running 7" 928S rims on the back on my 924 and they have no clearance issues on front or back and iirc the offset is 65 on those rims

I used a set of phonedials from a 928, 7" wide with 65mm offset. Without spacers they stick in 1" compared to the 52.3mm offset 6" rims. I used a 7mm spacer in the front and a 28mm 930 spacer in the back in place of the stock 21mm spacer, but I don't think it was really necessary to space them out.

Thanks guys. For some reason I thought I'd be hitting the struts without spacers.

I Am In The Process Of Fitting 16x8 (245-45-16) In The Rear Of My 931 And 16x7 (215-50-16) On The Front.

The Rear Was No Problem With A 15mm Spacer And I See No Real Problem With The Rim Hitting The Strut On The Front Without A Spacer.
The Original Front Tire Was Very Close To The Spring Though. Just Make Sure You Give Yourself Some Clearance.

Good Luck !!

I've got 16x9 et60 with 245/45/16 on the back using 924S trailing arms. They fit perfectly and look the biz.On the front I've got 16x7 et65 with 205/50/16 tyres. Although they don't rub on the springs they could do with spacers to fill the fenders.

I'll probably reduce the rear tyre width or look for some 8's if the handling feels wrong.Any thoughts....?

I have 15 x 8 fronts and 15 x 9 rears....no problems with a 6 mm shim at the front and a 28mm spacer at rear. The rims are BBS replica. My body has been modified but looking at the clearance I think they would have fitted the standard body without the spacers.
Cheers
Simon

ic932- I Fitted The Rims Today And The Only Issue Is An Asthetic One. The Front 7" Rim Seems To "Stick Out" A Little Too Far.

I Wish I Had Some Way Of Posting Pictures So That You Could Understand My Visual (No Pic Host).
It's Hard To Explain.

I'm Going To Re-Align The Car With Some More Negative Camber But I Can Only Go So Far Before The Inner Tire Sidewall Comes Too Close To The Spring.

Good Luck With Yours!

if you want, i can host the pics for you..just email them to me at my2porsche AT yahoo.com..

while were on the subject, ive got a set of 6" wide trash can lids with 225/50 16's on em, the tires will fit in the rear, though the inner lip will probably need to be rolled a bit , as it looks like theyll rub just slightly(cars still up on jacks so i havent put any weight on em.) wont be an issue with the gt flares though. they do look good from the rear though.

I put 7" S2 rims on the front using the stock spacers and 8" on the backs.I had to get a machinist buddy to take 1/4" off of the rear spacers to get the tire so it won't rub the body if the suspension bottoms out though.
