I started reading this board about 5 months before I bought my 81' 931...$1,000, and I gotta tell ya You guys Rock.
So far the solution to every problem I've had has been here, saving me time and money.

Yea I second that. This board is fantastic. We should probably write a book on these cars _________________ 1979 931 with a 350 chev

Funny you should mention that. After I posted the original message I thought it might be a good idea if we could gather contributions of experience and compile them in a book. A man named Kirby Palmer wrote such a book called "Experience in a Book" , it was writen for the XJ-S Jag and is very useful to anyone trying to maintain one of them. I believe this book would serve as a model.
Check it out, and if anyone is interested I would be willing to apply some time and effort to the project.

You mean you actually read through the archives for answers instead of posting the same question we see several times a day?!
The board is an amazing resource. The knowledge is probably approaching critical capacity by now.
I think the thread on "deep-cleaning the garage" is going to the book-like resource you're talking about. -hopefully!
PS- congrats on the purchase, sounds like you got a great deal.

| There was a man who posted on this board about a year ago who was writing a 924/924S/931/944 book. He was gathering info and searching specs. I'll see if I can find the name of his book. |
