Low beam in one of the rectangular lights in my front bumper (the ones directly under the main pop-up headlights) is no longer working or works intermittently. High beam is working fine.

I can see 2 bulbs through the glass lens at the front & figured one must be for low beam & the other for high beam. Will it just be a simple bulb replacement by taking the lens off the front & popping a bulb out?

Must be 1 for high beam & one for park then. The park light stopped working but high beam is fine.

One is a 55w driving light for high beam and the other is a 5w park light.
My left hand park light would not work nor would the engine trouble light on the bonnet/hood.
I connected a new earth to the body and it still would not work
I ran a wire across the valance and joined the 2 front park lights together.
Problem solved.

One parking light was working more faintly than the other until yesterday when I tapped it as I noticed it flickered a bit. It stopped working after that.

So are the internal bulbs replaceable? If so I'll pull it apart & check for signed of a blown bulb, otherwise I'll have to use Ozzie's suggestion.

The unit has to be removed from the bumper.
1 remove rubber between indicator and park lights- 1 screw
2 remove park light assembly- 3 screws
3 take back off the park light assembly- 3 more screws
4 carefully remove small light assembly from the reflector. This clips in and comes out with the bulb. I bought and replaced the 5w and 55w on both sides the same way. If you buy H3 xenon 55w they really are bright. $30 pair approx.
Easy enough to do.

One side of the assy has three screws. the top and bottom adjust the reflector for the 55w up and down. These DO NOT need to be removed.

Yes, 55W H3 single filament, which can't be dipped. Over here it'd be illegal to have this set on high beam..

Rubber? The PO put a piece of black electrical tape between the indicator & the light (on both sides) & I can't see a place to screw anything in there. I did pull the unit out last night & unplugged & replugged the electrical connector at the back. Interesting on the bottom of the unit I pulled it says "944".

Thanks for the tip Ozzie. I'll pull it apart & see if it looks like the 5w is blown. The other side park light is fine & both high beams are already pretty bright.

Was that $30 for a pair of 55w or 30 for 1 x 55w + 1 x 5w?

If it's flickering the wiring in the bulb holder might be loose. My side marker light was doing that, but still getting good voltage at the holder. If you're pulling it out to replace make sure you check that it fits snug.

All up should cost $35 if you are changing the lot.
The 5w are about $5 pair
I'll try to get a pic of the rubber part.

Hmm..I pulled mine out today cos neither additional headlamp works, altho the park lights are fine. The H3 bulbs are OK but there's no power there, nor at Fuse 5. My handbook says it's relay VIII and it looks to be OK. Any ideas why I don't have power at fuse 5? Haynes doesn't show these add. lights. TIA.

OK..there's power at fuse 5 when the relay closes. I have an open circuit somewhere after the low/high beam switch. Sorry to highjack this thread.

I've never chased the power back and Haynes shows nothing so I can't help sorry.
I think the power is run off fuse 15 but the simplest way is to check them all.
