I think my aux air valve is stuck closed, i just stuck it in the freezer and will check it in about 10 minutes to see if that made it open up at all. The resistance on the heating part is at 43 ohms, the haynes says it shoudl be at 30. Should it be getting 12 volts all the time when the ignition is turned on? i checked to see if the plug that goes to it had any voltage but i didnt read anything with the key in the on position.
Does anyone know a good place to get a replacement aux air valve is mine is really dead? Thanks a lot,
-Mike

Did it open in the freezer? I think I measured mine at 48 ohms.

And IIRC it only has 12V on it when the motor is running..power is cut by the fuel pump relay.

Thanks for the info Gram, and Roger, i checked some sites performanceproducts says they dont have them now.. but paragon products says the ones from '77-'80 are 57.80, but the ones from 81-82 are $93 dollars... that sucks...

You might try the local junkyard. Many CIS (Audi, VW, Saab, Volvo) systems used the same part.
