first when I buy the car, I find a piece of plastic, I think a handle and can't figure out where it goes, I honestly think it's not from my car. Then after a week of having my car, the airbox hose falls off, twice. A month later, falls off again. Last weekend, the oil filter loosens up after 4 months of NOT touching it, leaves a nice little clear oil stain on my garage floor. One day after school, I find in the passenger foot well a rather thick bent washer with a slot in it so the hole opens up almost like a U, still haven't figured out where it came from. Today the little slide connect on the solenoid falls off and I have to get down in dress clothes and put it back on, Does this kind of stuff happen to any one else?

set aside a day, get out your tool set , and start checking, tightening and torqueing every nut, bolt , and screw you can find..even a late model "S" is still far from new..years of road vibration and stress take their toll after time. but its nothing a bit of elbow grease cant fix. Just start at one end and dont stop till youre past the other end, inside and out.. might as well clean up all the grounding points while your at it.. its a bit of a pain, but worth the effort. chances are youll fix some rattles and squeaks in the process..
the oil filter thing is a bit odd though, thats a new one on me..

on my NA, I always end up torquing the oil filter down abit more than recommended as I found it loose a couple times, but never heard of this on a 2.5L as for things falling off, cant say I really experiance that.

no, Courtney

the thing with the oil filter is, I drove the car in, sat for a couple of says, and then pushed it out, swept the floor washed the car, pushed it back in, so there was no actual driving while it loosen enough to leak ouT!!

sounds like you may need to hold an exorcism... this is best done while attending a porsche meet, as the energy provided by brethren vehicles will dimish the evil spirits strength..once sucessfully excised, dont forget your car will still be vulnerable to attack, do not install any non OEM parts on it for at least six weeks. And Dont park it next to any car not made in Germany for at least twice that time, just to be safe..

hopefully you ll be able to find some german bottled water for the actual ceremony. in a pinch, you can use standard bottled water run though the hands of a person of german decent.. ive heard runors a good german beer will work here too, but can confirm it.

good luck, may the porsche gods be with you..
