HI: Is there a simple way to repair Vinyl tears without removing the seat cover & sewing a new vinyl piece? A Stick on patch? Picture of bad seat area below. Thanks in advance. Dick.

ouch, thats an ugly one.. the only way id use a patch , is if its temporary until a replacement bolster piece could be sewn in..ive tried those "vinyl repair" kits, and ive yet to find one that works as claimed, basically , im my opinion, they suck..but perhaps theres something out there that will work better.. i would guess it would be cheaper and lhave better results just to have an upholstery shop sew in a new piece of fabric though.... _________________ Eric

| I'll third that. My car has a rip there the PO tried to patch that split. I'd replace it. Might want to think about the vinyl panels on the seat bottom too because they tend to rip at the seam along the fabric. |
