they say that the haynes manual is very very generic and not very good for in depth or that a lot of the time it just tells you to take the car to a porsche dealer. so i'm not sure what to do, because i need a manual giving every description of every wire, yanno the works. is there even a haynes manual for the 924s? thx

To get an overall view of the 924S, you would need both the Haynes 924, and 944 manuals. But you still will not have the wiring diagram for the 924S.

The ONLY Complete Reference Manual for a 924S is the Porsche Factory 944 Workshop Manual Set (must be the six volume version), combined with the Porsche 924 Workshop Manual Set (four volume version with all 24 Supplements). You should also have the Porsche 931 (924T) Workshop Manual (one volume).

You should be able to find them on either microfiche from Porsche (around $100 for all), or on eBay ($75-$150 for the 944 set, and $50-$100 for the 924 set).
