Spent some time photoshopping this weekend ... this is an idea I had for the 931 .... not quite up to Joes924Racer standards but how about this for a paint scheme?

...or this...

...or this...

...or this...

I think the stripes should be graduated towards the windshield, and also continue onto the roof. I don't know if it would look better continuing like it never passed over the windshield, or keeping it graduated like it was just invisible over the windshield. That would be a whole other debate. Either way though, I think all the options look great.

Um, no offence ideola but I reckon they look hideous. I don't mind the "Zebra" stripes coming back from the headlights, though. That's a pretty nifty idea. But not with those colours in two tone. Too busy, incoherent. Just my opinion, please don't take offence.

I reckon Jazzerpet's got the idea with the really dark lower tone and silver upper. That really suits the car IMHO.

I think the stripes are a bit detracting. If it were a track only car I'd say stripe it up, there seems to be no end to the confusion on a race car but for the street, no.

Not as hideous as some other schemes being thrown around.

Sorry, can't say I like the red on the bottom. Red and Black, especially with silver makes for a harsh contrast in color. I like the black carried onto the roof better then stopping or gradiated to the windshield. But I tend to have more of a classic appeal when it comes to paint. Once my hood comes in (thanks again My924gtc), I'll get started on my factory silver repaint but with two think black stripes down the center of the car.

But to each his/her own. But I had to it down.

BTW:

i like the scheme, especially with the graduated hood stripes.. i think maybe the color line needs to be adjusted a bit though, maybe even with the front bumper instead of running onto the badge pannel..or possibly bruought up higher, to cover the badge panel completely. not sure, its close, but something not quite working with it and i cant put my finger on exactly what it is.. but i think with some adjustments, it can all work very well..just not sure what those adjustemnt may be, to me the line of separation isnt quite working though...maybe a fade instead of a contrast line?? just ideas...

yea as a scheme I agree. Totaly Though color choices are up to
the individual
though I did the first pic the first time with yellow body
and lighter shade of the yellow on the sides of the hood
with the lighter yellow on the mirrors also ...and the same line
broken up is nice in the other pic. also though onto the roof looks weird.. Since
you asked Ill ask back! What about your wheels?

I say hold off on the paint and get some wheels that fit the car!

Oh Yeah that paint is so nasty! When did the 924 become the whitetrash wondercar?

Anybody who knows shit about putting a project car together would know that wheels and tires are the last...very last....thing you do. If you do it prior to having everything else sorted out you are wasting your time. And anyone who knows precisely what size wheels with what correct offset will fill the fenders an a super-widebody conversion car speak up, otherwise I'll wait until the project is nearly complete to insure that I have no issues with clearence or gaps in the wheel wells.

The 924 became the 'whitetrash wondercar' as soon as people like you and I could afford to buy them. Otherwise they would just be used up lawn ornaments from people who have money to buy new sports cars.

Excuse the momentary hijack:

No we don't. If you want emotion icons there are hundreds of zero-info Honda discussion boards out there where all they post is BS and icons.

p.s. I'm into solid colours myself, Rallye Yellow circa 1977 is my all-time favourite but Alpine White with the Le Mans stripes is moving up to second place. Must be getting really old.

My two cents worth.......I love my Porsche Polar silver car. In the light the color glows with a hint of blue........and the scent of Jasmine. Skip the last comment. I thought I was writing a chapter in my book.

Actually, folks, it's supposed to be WHITE on top and RED on bottom...even with my extensive photoshop skills, it's a little hard to make what was a photo of a red car look like it's white

Anyway, no offense taken by any of the comments...the whole point of posting is to see what people think. I'll post a few more variations later, so stay tuned!
