I just removed the side mirror from the car, however, there is the thing it attaches to left on the door. I have the door panel removed and the window lowered for a good look but I can't seem to figure out how I remove the final piece of the mirror. it looks like it slides in somehow but how to get it out is a mystery. Does anyone know?

1st, check your PM. I sent you a message a while ago about the rear wiper.
Second, what thing are you talking about? The housing? the base? The base is held to the door with one allen head bolt. You fold the housing out of the way to expose the bolt head, which will have a little plastic plug in it, and then unscrew the bolt with an allen wrench.
