| They might rub on the front when turn the wheels all the way but I know some guys here are using them. |

225's in the REAR should be fine. _________________ MJ

I run 215/15/60's in the rear, and 205/15/60's in the front, with no problems at all, and I have my rear suspension adjusted all of the way down. So, my guess is 225/14's will work fine. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo |

Do you run the 215's on 6 inch rims? Dont the sidewalls balloon out a bit? _________________ 1979 931 with a 350 chev

Yes, 15 inch spiderwebs. The sidewalls do not baloon at all. They look great. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo |

I have run 225 all around and have had no issues, just make sure you get the proper offset rims, and you should be able to fit about a 235 under the rear end but that would be about MAX _________________ 3 928s, |

Mine has 225's (50-series/profile, on 15-inch wheels) on the rear. No problems with rubbing.
My wheels are wider than standard 924 NA wheels, though...
Is that what you meant? What are the widest tyres that can be fitted on standard 924 wheels? (Which are 14-inch, IIRC but I'm unsure of the wheel width) If so, I suspect 205's might be the widest tyres you can fit -then again, numbbers says he's running 215's on 6-inch-wide wheels with no ballooning.
In terms of aesthetics, I say fit the widest rear tyres you can! IMHO it really fills out the rear of the car... to quote my mate, "makes it look tough!"
The standard pizza-cutters on the 924 NA do the shape no justice.
I don't mind narrower tyres on the front, though. I wouldn't run 225's all 'round. I wouldn't want the front tyres to bulge out from under the guards... _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

"saladus" apparently means "secret" in Finnish. And Estonian is supposed to be closely related to Finnish.
What secrets do these blokes have?!
(Of course, in context it may have nothing to do with secrets) _________________ '80 924 Turbo |
