| I was wondering about a few performance upgrades. Mainly a cold air intake, where might i get one??? Will it work on my CIS fuel injection? Also wondering about a carb kit or fuel injection kit, what are the pros and cons of either, how expensive and where it is I might be able to find these? Hondatech555@yahoo.com |

ADD BOOST! HAHAHA... then more boost...
Loads of ways to do it, fairly easy to do... pick your posion, DIY and save..
DO the basics, tune, get her running in the best stock condition you can, then look at adding boost... tons of ways to prep the engine and plenty of choices.
Keep the CIS, make sure the engine can handle the boost.... and crank it up, but keep it mild, unless its built to handle more than 5 PSI. Even at 5 PSI you will see a huge difference, Heck 3 PSI, with almost no delta rise in the intake temp, is a monster increase in performance compared to stock, but dont be focused on HP, look at Torgue Ft-lbs or NM, whatever unit of measure is your fav, either way... you would see a large increase compared to off boost.
My fav is always superchargers for low boost applications, gives you power off idle.
Higher boost turbo, higher boost with no lag, compond setup or hybrid two stage supercharger and turbo.
Of course no power adder is cheap... then again... how much you want to spend and how much can you do yourself? |
