I've told my story in the past but wanted to get an opinion on how much I could expect to sell my 87 924S for.
This was purchased in 87 by my Father and Step-mother so I have complete history on the thing. I took ownership this past summer when they moved for good to Arizona. It had been barely run for the past couple years and garaged here in the Northwest. It has a true original 34,000 miles on it and the interior is in very good shape. The dash has a crack is about the only noticeable flaw.
I have had the front engine done a couple months ago, along with shocks and general tune-up.
Never been in a fender bender, paint is in very nice shape, not flawless since it is 18 years old, but details up very nice. Everything works (sunroof, remote mirrors etc...).
I am considering unloading it due to the fact that I just don't get around to driving it much and I'm not that interested in the constant upkeep these buggers seem to need from reading this board.
I would appreciate some honest opinions on how I should go about finding the right buyer for something this well take care of, and also what might be a fair price range.
If it matters, I am in Seattle (don't know if these sell differently in West coast non-salted roads??)
Many thanks!!! |

well - a "decent-shaped" one would sell for about 3500 - a great shape one as yours should go at the minimum of 6,000$
if i were you - i'd keep this car - take the necessary steps to store it, and hang onto it
the 924s is actually a "rare" porsche - it only had a 2-year production (ok 2.5 years) - collector's haven't realized it much yet since it hasn't gained much popularity in the past
someday it will be realized and your car will be more valuable... especially after the 20-year mark
heck - if you really want to unload it - ship it over to me

I'd love to see some pictures too.
Looks like Paul and I are going to be fighting over cars for a while
Though Wisconsin is a lot closer to you than Ohio... _________________ 924S (I wish) |
