Don't you have to have a special vented battery if it is located in the passenger compartment to prevent certain gases from killing you?
Is that what the battery box does? _________________ -Stu

Well, the only gas the battery should release would be hydrogen, and that's under extreme drain or overcharging. The real danger from that would be flammability or displacing the oxygen in the cabin. Under normal ventalation conditions he should not have a problem.

Hahaa haa ah thats a good one. Really funny.
I made my own bulkhead connector and just
cut a hole and ran it through. Using a 3/8
carriage bolt with the head cut-off as the connector
and bolted the cable to each end. Non conductive material
screwed with framing screws to the bulkhead finished it off.
Just ran the cable and bolted it to the tranny hump
with some conduit fastners.

I bought a inexspensive box from wall-mart. It barely held
the battery when i set the battery in it barly fit I cut the straps off the battery for more clearence now Im confident the bats gonna fit the box
so Im ready to put it in the car i pushed it in the box splitting it. it only
costed 6.83 Ill get a proper box nothing like the 100.00 bat box though at least one that will hold the bat well enough. Theres a good secure bat box holder I must get also. I gonna put a switch above the line with a
uluminum bracket
up by the shifter heres a nice 20 dollar switch from summit..

The 944 has it in the rear wheel arch well. I plan on putting my 924S battery back there using 944 cables and tray, as I want to put a washer bottle in the current (no pun intended) battery location.
The reason for this is I want to keep clear the engine bay for a possible engine conversion, plus it will resdistribute some of the weight which has been lost with selective stripping out.

Yes Joe, there is a battery tray complete with clamps. I don't know if this is a panel you can buy. I will be investigating in the near future. So will post findings on here.

What the are you talken about. its not like that at all.
The msd 6 and rev control are gonna go there. Im aken my
own brackets out of some plate aluminum maybe exspensive
though I was contemplating buying the msd bracket they put out
though thats just
plain silly. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

I cut some bass and treble speakers into the rear flap compartments.
I think it’s a good idea. The sound will bounce nicely off that glass.
I'm still wiring the amp to work them taken from a BMW.
Hey Joe, what do I do with the space left over from my rubber bumper pads? There is a gap by the turn signals now. _________________ 1978 924 95 mile daily driver.
