Whenever I warmed up my car, I saw steam coming from my radiator... until the issue cleared up after all of the coolant had squirted out of what I believe to be a very small hole.

Other than using one of those hokey aluma-seal or rad-seal fixes, is there any practical way to fix the leak without needing to replace the whole radiator?

If the answer is no, then does anyone have a decent (and hole-less) radiator to sell?

Aluminum radiators are not easy to patch. Problem is that if it is an erosion hole the rest of the core is not far behind. You might be able to get it re-cored at a radiator shop or you might get by for awhile with some epoxy putty, if you can get it clean enough to seal. If it is a brass radiator just solder it up and go (but I never heard of a brass radiator in a Porsche)

I had my 78na radiator re-finned and cleaned out. Yes my radiator was brass with copper fins. If the hole is easly accessable you can have it re-soldered, but if the hole is in the middle behind the fins take it out and take it to a radiator shop to be resoldered. It's cheaper to remove the radiator your self and drop it off than to have them remove and then repair it. (less labor) If you can see the hole and it's on the side tanks they can solder it right in the car.

About 18 years ago I took out the radiator and took it to a shop and had it rodded and completely cleaned out. It's been good ever since. It's not hard by any means to pull and it'll be worth it, providing it's repairable. I'd go that route before buying a different one.

If not, I'm sure there's someone on the board who's got an extra. I've got a new one sitting in my basement but I'm kinda' saving it for that emergency that I'm sure will come someday.

If you want to buy it, fill out a money order or cashier's check with a 1; then keep adding zeros until I smile like this:

After I wrecked the drain plug in my radiator (damn wrong torque specs in Haynes), I took it to the local radiator shop and they took the end caps off, did the full rod clean, welded up four holes, put a new drain plug on, put the caps back on and gave it a fresh coat of black paint for $70. Cheap AS!

I also snapped off the drain plug after doing a radiator flush. One £4 bottle of 'Radweld' & I havn't lost a drop since. It's simple stuff but has been used for decades.
