Yeah, I fell asleep with the tv on and woke up to some very early (before the Today Show) channel 4 news (WNBC NY) - and there was your oval office. Very nice. That's a good high profile job for your company.. Congrats! _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

Thanks guys!!
Tons of hard work, myself & two others put in over 111 hours each, in 10 days to get it ready in time!
Not sure about the scenic painters hours, but they deserve just as much credit!
No I in TEAM.
Tried to talk the studio heads into letting me park the 924 in it, but no such luck!!
If there happen to be members in NYC, any pics would be greatly appreciated!
BTW: That's JFK's desk, also on display. |

Hey procon,
I saw an item on the evening news last night about the opening of Bill Clinton's Presidential Library and lo and behold here is a replica of the oval office. Is it yours or have you started a fashion? Great job.
Cheers

Thanks!!
I'm pretty sure that the replica that we built is now in Washington DC on display.
Oddly enough it seems that there are several of them around, I spoke with a friend who also works in the film industry & he said that he's built 4 replicas over the years. |

Very Cool! Alot of work for ten days. What did you use as the wall covering?
We just opened a show that had as a set a giant Viewmaster viewer with the lenses made out of rear projection screen which displayed slides. I'll get a picture, if someone can host it. It looked very good, has pneumatic doors and a motored slide that comes out from the center and a walk way up above. Built in about ten days, too. |

We built standard stage flates using 1x4 & skinned them with 1/4" plywood.
Would love to see pics of your project, sounds cool!! |

This was during load in:
And this was the finished product. (House light only so it's a little dark.)
Closed yesterday and we struck today. |
