Well i just got my new baby last weekend!!
Had been looking for something to replace my old renault 21 and was going to settle for a rover 214 :/
Hopwever a friend as a joke sent me a link for a gt3 on ebay - but just above it was a 924 for sale. After a bit of research i went and had a look at one and bought it on the spot.

Yes it needed a clean in these photos!
Shes absolutly prisene with just a dent in the drivers mirror, small wear patch on the drivers seat and the 924 sticker on the backs faded , otherwise immaculate inside and out without even the dash cracks. Paid £2250. Just need to find a decent insurer for her now(being 21 is a bit of a git on that aspect ), and a name. |

G'day mate, welcome aboard!
Very nice car you've got there. Sounds like you got a bargain
Do you know the year? Appears it's got the four-bolt hubs but the spiderweb/lace Turbo-style wheels? And the Turbo rear spoiler? _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

Hey bloke
Roland Rat now there's a blast from the past! lol.
You'll need to do a lot of shopping around for insurance on a group 17 car at 21, some of the classic car places might be an idea.. depending on what you do for a living you might find a company that runs special deals for your employer - i'm an ex civil servant and I get a good deal with Frizzell thanks to that.. _________________ Mars Red '78 Euro 924 n/a

boot spoiler is the 924 turbo style one, a previous owner of my girl fitted one to her too:
As Khal says the wheels are the turbo style ones aswell, very nice _________________ Mars Red '78 Euro 924 n/a

Hi !
Welcome here.
Your car is really nice-looking !
The black rendering is... Wow !
Furthermore, 4 holes 931 rims are very rare...
Do you know if your car is a limited edition ?
See ya.

Just had a word with mon pere and according to him the alloys are showing in the manual with it too. Maybe a limited edition? In anycase im chuffed to bits with it and just wanna get out and drive her. ( I OWN A PORSCHE!! )
One thing i noticed was the lack of wheel liners. It seems it it supposed to be like that? Are there any readily available after market items available or will i have to fabricate something? |

Could be a special edition, perhaps a dealer special? I can't recall seeing four-bolt Turbo wheels before. Are they 15-inch or only 14-inch?
If it was registered in '83 then it could be a late '82 model -I think they went to the 924S for the actual '83 model year. But I thought they'd upgraded to discs all 'round by '82? (which would mean five-bolt hubs, IIRC) Anyone got an '82 with four-bolt hubs?
EDIT: Hang on, I just had a look at tj924's '82 and it's got four-bolt hubs. Does it have rear drum brakes?
Good looking car, anyway. If you can get the VIN and option codes, there's links to decoding them... _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

The PET parts list shows a 5-bolt "cast spoked wheel" from '76-'79, then from '80-'85 it shows them in both 4-bolt and 5-bolt versions. -And all spoked wheels from all years '76-'85 were 15 inch.
It shows all years of 924na got 4-bolt unless they had option M471 in which case they got 5-bolt. -Same with 924T up to 1980 (only got 5-bolt if they had option M471). 924T from '81-up got only 5-bolt [according to PET]. _________________ "..it's made in Germany. It's most probably a 83 model, the chassisnumber will tell you for sure. (IIRC 83 is the year when the n/a got the rear spoiler as standard)
And the n/a had drums in the rear and four bolts on all wheels until they stopped making her. |

Nice looking car!
Mine is an '82 with the same spoiler and the same wheels as shown on S150's red 924. Also mine is an auto, in black, with the large decals down the sides. |

Those are the four bolt spiderwebs, very common in the US. Standard on the '80 931, and available as an option on the NA. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo |
