Hey Guys! I am thinking I want to run both petrol and LPG. Any tips, hints, or advice? Like how does the injection affect, and the DITC cause any probs? Thanx, ;D

i had a dual system f350...the propane scared the crap out of me on many occasions when it "vented" in the heat... in a small car?? no friggin way id do that....but im sure modern systems are a bit better, mine was mid 80's tech..

but realistically, lpg isnt much cheaper than gas..and youll use slightly more on a gallon per gallon basis..and you have the storage issue, do you really want an lpg tank behind your head? on the upside, its suppose to be allot less stressful on the engine and ive read it can double engine life in normal use.. (my 130k f350 ran like it was barely broken in, so i can believe those claims) ..

i dont know if itlll work with the 931 though, lpg runs at about 87 psi at room temperature, is that high enough?

LPG is very common down here, every fuel station sells it. I would think it is much more trouble than it is worth to run Dual Fuel on a 931. However quite a few people have had a lot of sucess running turbo engines on straight LPG, the problem with dual fuel is the enigne has to be set-up to accomodate both fuels and their different requirements. If you run straight gas you can tune only for that and a lot of people are producing more power than straight petrol with a proper LPG tune. Might want to look at the valve seats and valve etc to make sure they are hard enough to cope, but they are pretty good on these engines anyway.
