hey all-
i just installed Paragon's 19mm rear adjustable swaybar on my '77, requiring the Welt adapter kit. all i can say is, i'll never buy anything from Welt again. i paid $200 for two stock eccentric bolts that don't work on my early spring plates, a couple cheap U clamps that began rusting as soon as i opened the package, and some ill fitting mounts that my machine shop could have made better.
the rear end is a little tighter now with the upgrade from my stock 18mm bar (effective rate of more like a 14mm). it tends more toward oversteer now, which is nice. with more tread in the rear coming soon, i should be able to dial the swaybar in to get the handling pretty neutral.
if anyone has an early car ('76-'77.5) and wants to upgrade the rear bar DONT GET THE WELT KIT! drop me a line and i'll give the list of what you can buy from parts car and have made at the machine shop for much cheaper.
regards
