Dear friends:
My beauty has developed an annoying issue, in the morning when I start her she doesn´t want to (not always), I have to press the accelerator to make her come alive.
The rest of the day she starts instantly even after being parked for 8 hours at my workplace parking lot.
Your suggestions are welcome.... _________________ Euro 924 1980 N/A

I had tremendous cold starting issues, and it turned out to be running very lean, and when it was cold it was having trouble getting enough fuel.
a good sign of that being the case will be that it'll start when you first turn it over, but if you run it for 20 seconds and stall it, you won't be able to start it again. that's because it started with the help of the cold start valve, but won't re-start (or will be reluctant) when the cold start isn't part of the picture (which it won't be after 8 seconds of having the engine turning over or running) and the thermo time switch has diabled the cold start valve.
otherwise, perhaps check to see if you have good spark? _________________ it's funny, but when they said "Anything is Possible", that's exactly what they meant.... |

turn the key into on position, then to lock position, and repeat 10x w/o turning to the start position, once completed on the 10th time try to start, if it fires up you are loosing system pressure slowely. possible a bad fuel accumulator _________________ 3 928s, |

Lizard has a point. After I replaced my fuel accumulator, check valve and injectors my starting problems (both hot and cold) stopped. These are the parts that can contribute to a loss in fuel pressure after shut-down. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

Just for the sake of good information:
I didnt have any cold start problems when my fuel accumulator was leaking badly, replaced it and still no cold start problems. So the accum is not the be all and end all or fuel pressure probs although nice to replace... _________________ 1979 931 with a 350 chev
