Nice condition, price seems high, especially for an automatic.

Seems pretty nice at first blush, but an automatic? Nah. And for that kind of money I'd rather have the 88 with the higher hp motor and a 5-sp.

Besides, at that price you're in 951 territory..., they're probably trolling for suckers. I'd bet they get no bids.

They're a shop. They will look for the best cars and then sell them for as much as possible.

For that kind of dough, I'd buy a 944 Turbo or a "needs work" 968.
It doesn't even have leather!
Automatic- eeek! I am continually amazed how many people never learned to use a manual transmission, I mean, its not like flying the space shuttle.

It'll be interesting to see if it actually goes.

From the photos, the car certainly appears to be in very good condition.

But, photos do not necessarily tell the whole truth. From the photos, there is a hint of damage to the front lower valance, and the photo of the rear seat may hint at some sun damage, which would make the condition of the dashboard (which is not pictured in detail) suspect.

924S cars in honestly original, undamaged condition are very rare cars indeed. While it is rare to find any daily driver 924S that is worth more than $5000, I am sure that there are some 924S cars out there in a condition that I would consider paying $7500 (or more for), if I was looking for a car in premium (concours) condition. I am not saying that this car is worth the $7500 Opening Bid Price, but if I were looking for a premium grade 924S, I would certainly want to take a look at this car.

Not everyone is looking for a dirt cheap fixer 924S. There are some people out there who might prefer to buy a nice car, who can afford to pay the full price to keep it maintained.

Heck for that money I would much rather have a 968 or an early 911. And definately not an automatic, YUK!

Yup, that seems to be the general consensus. Anybody here actually owned a 968? I'm thinking about buying one when I get done toying around with the "S".
