Okay my sunroof leaks on my 77 924. The guy that had it before me had it silcone in. And I clean all that out and clean the drain hoses. Put a new seal in and new latchs on it. But it still leaks when it rains alot or if I'm washing the car. So want am I missing? I thought about just having it welded up. But I thought I shoot it cross you guys before doing that.
Thanks,

Stupid question but did you replace both seals (i.e. roof and panel)? _________________ MJ

Okay I thought there is one seal. I bought it from Performance Products. And it went on the car. Now if there is a second one where do I get it? Same place and does it go on the sunroof? Thanks for the quick response.

Yep, goes around the outer edge of the sunroof panel. It's the cheaper of the 2 also, so the painful part is over. Should be around $18.00 from PP if I remember correctly. _________________ MJ

The seal that goes on the sunroof is the more expensive part, and the one that needs to be replaced, if the sunroof is leaking.
The cheaper piece that goes on the edge of the hole in the roof, is more a decorative trim piece (holds the edges of the headliner in place)than a seal. |
