Hey Guys!

I was thinking about converting the 924NA to a 924 turbo, where i need to get parts from a 924T parts car, and fit it on the 924NA. I know its easier to buy a 924Turbo, but i havent seen any for sale. Do you think that the 924 turbo system, is better than the aftermarket ones? And how difficult is it to maintain? I dont know anything about turbo systems.

Also i have this weird problem, with the 924. When dad kicks into high speeds on a high-way, he feels heating blowing into his face!?!! Do you think that the fire wall may leak heat if cracked ???? Only the driver can feel it.

Thanx in Advance!!!

i've heard its not worth it to turbo or supercharge a 924. I would think it is easier to supercharge the 924 na but don't think you can find a supercharger kit for th e924 if there was one i would buy it.

i think putting a chevy or ford engine in a 924 is pretty stupid plus alot of hard work and money.

wuoldn't that just ruin any handling or balance that the car had? I really wouldn't want a gm engine in any porsche inlcluding the 924.

I think it would be cool if you could fit a vw vr6 engine in 924 those engines are pretty sweet.

Oy, as much "fun" as I've had trying to get mine running properly with everything there, I don't think it'd be a good idea trying to add all the turbo junk to an NA and make it run! I'd recommend waiting till you find one...

Flo...I think the shipping costs to Lebanon might kill that sale.

Thanx for your replies guys. So i think that i should buy a 924Turbo rather than installing a turbo system on an N/A.

But i didnt get a reply about the heat thats pouring in the car from the engine. I cant understand why such a thing is happening. Any sugestions ????

About the heat :
1- I would make sure the coolant circulation valve into the heater is closed (engine coolant is not circulating into the heater)
2- could it be that your shifter boot is cracked and the heat is coming up from there (I had that happen)

Thax WA924 for your reply.

Well, About the Coolant circulating to the heater, my heater core just blew up and all of the hot boiling water poured on to the passengers side where i was sitting. So our mechaninc cancled the line till we find a better replacement. And from what i have seen, he got rid of the pigtail pipe. So, could heat be leaking from the pig-tail pipe connection in the fire wall ?? And the heat pours like hell when the radiator fans kicks into high speed.

I checked the shifter boot and its perfect. The heat comes from under the dashboard according to what my dad said. I dont drive the car because i am still 15. I

Before i forget, i sealed a broken cap on the fire wall which passes some of the wires to the car's dashboard with silicon. It reduced the effect abit.

Should i be looking for a crack in the fire wall?
