Well guys, my original radio/casette player craped out on me. Anybody recommend a relatively inexpensive CD player that will fit the original location and operate the power antenna?

Most CD units will fit and will have an automatic antenna lead.

You'll have to buy a mounting kit ($15?)

this thread http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=12492 talks about a number of CD player head units..
i've installed a more upmarket one and it came with the installation bracket and fitted in fine (it was pretty snug though!).. they're pretty much a standard size from what i've gathered.

I don't think you need one for our cars, I used the metal bracket that came with my Blaupunkt head unit, even though it didn't want to, and mine was only about $120 shipped

Well, I went with an Alpine 7816, that I purchased off of ebay for $15 US, including shipping. But, the led wasn't working, so I had to buy another face plate. I bought that off of ebay also, but it was $25 plus $10 shipping. So, I ended up with $50 in it, but it looks and works good.
