I asked this question in another post but thought it best to have it as a topic in its own right.
My car runs a little hot due to the intercooler shrouding the radiator. Fine for speed events but not for test sessions on track.
My rad is an original with an extra core. However it is quite old now.
Has anyone got a high perfromance alloy unit, or had one made up at sensible cost?
I also wondered if the other 944 models had rads that worked well on the tuned 931 cars?
My engine does make more heat than a N/A model but should be very similar to a 951.
Thanks
Simon

I'm still using just a extra-thick rad put between the stock end-tanks - had a rad shop do it up special for me, cost $400 approx. Well worth it, car cools very well - especially now that I don't have the oil cooler shrouding the radiator. You might try a bigger oil cooler? _________________ Vaughan Scott

get a 944 unit and use it, if needed add another core to it. it is aluminum and has much better cooling compasity. _________________ 3 928s, |

Yeah, thanks. I think it will have to be that way.
I would have liked a bespoke unit to be made up in alloy....we can dream though!
Cheers
